About the Programme
The Secondary One students went through Drama For Beginners, which was mainly aimed to equip them with the basic skills of staging and performance and develop awareness towards the aesthetics and dramatic arts. The programme involved creating playlets – short plays – that revolved around issues that concern adolescents.
The Secondary Two students went through Theatresports, which key aims were to equip them with the basic skills of acting, especially in Improvisational Theatre, as well as develop an awareness towards the aesthetics and dramatic arts. The programme consisted of drama games and activities based on Improvisational Theatre, where students create scenes spontaneously, without the use of scripts.
Feedback from Trainers
Ms Miranda: I thought the students were brilliant, and noticed that they were more confident as the programme progressed. Some students ‘never thought they could act’, but did very well in the end!
Ms Marvelina: The students were energetic and lovely and were very receptive to the trainers.
